How do I use the patient leaflets and resources?
Sound familiar?
You know patient education builds trust — but writing your own leaflets never makes it up the list, and generic printouts from the internet don't sound like you. Every campaign in your Content library ships with a set of professionally written, clinically referenced patient leaflets, already branded with your practice details. The only job left is using them 📄.
What's happening
Open any patient education campaign in Content and its resources sit in the panel beside the overview: patient advice leaflets as branded PDFs (each with View and Share buttons), Canva templates for posters and booklets, and links for the campaign's other tools. A typical campaign carries around ten leaflets, each answering one real patient question — "how long does this take to heal?", "is my injury serious?", "why doesn't pain settling mean I'm healed?" — written from research into what patients actually search and worry about.
Why it works this way
Each leaflet does one job on purpose. Some are written around the questions people type into Google, so they attract new patients at the moment they need answers; others cover the foundation a patient needs to understand their recovery. Because each answers a single question, you can hand exactly the right one to exactly the right person — which is what makes a leaflet feel like care rather than marketing 🙂.
What to do now
Six ways clinics actually use them:
- During assessments — presenting a relevant leaflet at the first appointment shows you understand their exact situation, and sets realistic expectations early.
- During treatment — when a patient feels better and questions whether to continue rehab, the "pain settling isn't healed" style of leaflet reinforces your advice in writing, at home.
- At discharge — an overview leaflet helps them recognise warning signs and reminds them you exist before next season.
- In the waiting room — print the self-triage style leaflets; they help potential patients identify that they need you.
- As lead magnets — the campaign's lead collection page gives the whole resource pack away in exchange for an email address; the prevention leaflets work hardest in the months people book trips and start new activities.
- On social media — the campaign's ready-made posts link to specific leaflets, creating a natural path from a post to a valuable resource to your email list.
To send one directly: open the campaign, find the leaflet in the resources panel, and use Share — or View and download the PDF to print or attach.
The question behind the question
"Isn't giving all this away undermining paid appointments?" It's the opposite in practice: the person who reads your leaflet and self-resolves was never booking anyway — but they now know your name, and they tell people. The person who reads it and recognises they need help books with the clinic that already helped them once. Generosity is the marketing 🎁.
The next question is usually...
- How do I share my campaign resources?
- How do I create an email workflow from an educational marketing campaign?
- How do the campaign sign-up and success pages work?
Still stuck? This usually means...
- The leaflet shows the wrong details. Branding comes from Settings → Business Settings — fix it there and freshly viewed leaflets pick it up.
- You can't find a leaflet on a topic. Check other campaigns in Content (filter by Content Type) — packs are campaign-specific, and another campaign may cover it.
- You want to edit the leaflet text itself. The leaflets are fixed clinical documents — but tell us in the chat what you need; that feedback shapes what we build next.
